It’s always heartbreaking to hear about celebs that are in so much pain that they try to take their life. But I guess it’s a wake up call- we’re all human, we all hurt, we all have things we struggle with.
Hoboken Police Detective Mark Competello said Lange’s mother found him on the floor of his waterfront home on Saturday. According to Competello, the 42-year-old comedian was unconscious but breathing after stabbing himself with a 13-inch Wolfgang Puck kitchen knife.
Lange was taken to Jersey City Medical Center. Competello said doctors cleaned nine abdominal knife wounds and operated. He said Lange has been released. According to a New York Post Page Six source, Lange suffered six “hesitation wounds” and three deep plunges. The source added that the trouble comedian underwent surgery and was saved despite severe bleeding.
On Thursday, Howard Stern talked about Lange’s long battle with drug addiction, saying, “We all have our demons. Artie has given this show tremendous moments of great comedy. He’s a tremendous contributor. He is a good man. Don’t forget how great he is.”
I’m a self-proclaimed Simpsons nut. I’ve been watching the show since before I can remember. I bet almost any memory I have, I can attach a Simpsons episode to it (or, at the very least, give you a quote for the situation). And as a recent game of Simpsons ‘Scene It?’ proved, my brain is holding way too much in Simpsons trivia.
Sunday, January 10th will mark the 450th show of this 20 year long cartoon. Even with less-than-stellar episodes the past few seasons, I’m excited about this. On Sunday at 8 pm on Fox, The Simpsons is airing its 450th episode. “Once Upon a Time in Springfield” will be followed by an hourlong documentary from Morgan Spurlock (”30 Days,” “Super Size Me”), fancifully titled “The Simpsons 20th Anniversary Special in 3-D on Ice.”
So grab a Duff from the Kwik-E-Mart and gather family around that tube TV and enjoy a moment in Simpsons history
Actress, Meredith Baxter, is 62 and has been married to three different men. She recently publicly announced that she has been dating a woman for seven years now and is very happy. Meredith said that before the last seven years, it never crossed her mind that she would want to be with another woman.
CNN recently did a news report on this discovery of men and women not realizing or admitting their true sexual identity until later in life. Another man, Howard Selekman, was married to the same woman for 32years. Howard has known he was attracted to males since he was 8 years old. Knowing this, he still wanted to marry a woman and have children. Him and his fiancee’ went to a psychiatrist and his fiancee’ told the doctor that she believed love would overcome all their problems. The doctor replied that love would not overcome ALL their problems. Most doctors believe that you don’t choose your sexual preference, you are who you are when you are born and you don’t have a choice to change that. You may deny your true feelings and choose to go another way but in the end, like these older people, the truth will come out.
I think these “older people, coming out later in life” is common right now but only because it was not accepted as easily when they were younger like it is now. If they were to tell their parents that they were gay when they were in their twenties, their parents would have probably disowned them. Now that they probably have twenty year old kids, if you break the news to them, they probably accept the news because in this day in time, it’s just not uncommon like it used to be. So I would say, many years from now, 60+ year old people won’t need to wait that long to “come out” because we no longer live in such a judgemental world like it used to be.
Michelle Dugger’s baby was born prematurely weighing only 1 lb., 6 oz. This was her 19th baby and she suffered from preeclampsia, which is a pregnancy condition that causes high blood pressure. This condition effects 5 to 8 percent of pregnancies.
Michelle’s condition was noticed when she was admitted into the hospital for pain related to gallbladder problems. Doctors decided she needed an emergency c-section to prevent detrimental damage to her or her baby girl, Josie. Josie is in stable condition in the hospital’s neonatal intensive care unit.
In my opinion, once you turn a certain age like Michelle and not to mention this was her 19th child!! I would say it’s time to chill on having the babies! I mean, they said themselves on their show that she has literally been pregnant for the last twenty years of their marriage. You would think Josie would’ve just been able to walk out after having that many kids! The Duggers have said they will have as many children as God allows them too. Well, I realize you don’t believe in birth control, obviously, and that each child is a blessing but come on, enough already! I’m gonna guess after twenty years of being pregnant, I would know when I’m ovulating and therefore when NOT to go near my husband! I just think it’s selfish on Mr. Duggers part to not give his wifey a break for crying out loud!
Billboard magazine has named Kanye West male artist of the year and Taylor Swift female artist of the year. Kanye and Taylor made headlines back in September when Kanye rudely intterupted Taylor at the MTV music awards.
Taylor was giving her acceptance speech when Kanye walked on stage irritated talking about how Beyonce’ should have one instead. Ironically, Beyonce’ came in second for female artist of the year for Billboard magazine too. Soo I guess that’s the second time Kanye will be upset that Beyonce’ is coming in second over Taylor!

I guess Billboard magazine has given Kanye another reason to bitch and moan. Only this time, maybe he has more self control and will refrain from looking like a jack ass or throwing a temper tantrum!
It’s official that “John and Kate Plus 8″ is no longer a show and for a while there was even talk of having a show with just “Kate Plus 8″. Kate Gosselin is working a new show but without John or the kids.
Kate spent more than three hours taping a new hush hush show at a diner in Raleigh, NC. On Tuesday morning, Kate served customers grits and pancakes but when a news crew tried to catch a peak, Kate’s bodyguard booted them out. Kate has not discussed what the new show is called or what it’s about. I guess her little ones will have to realize that mommy has to actually go to work (if that’s what you want to call it) vs. staying home all day and getting payed to entertain them for television! But unfortunately, it is probably time the little kiddos realize that is reality and not everyone’s parents get to stay home and amuse them all the time.
The real question is, how many people are actually gonna want to watch JUST Kate? I think she’s interesting and she definitely motivates me to be more organized but seriously, I think having the 8 kids running around were the stars of the show. A show with just Kate sounds just boring!
Miley Cyrus who recently celebrated her 17th birthday also got her first tattoo. Is 17 too young for a tattoo?
Miley comes from a family full of their own tatts so it’s probably not a big deal to her parents for her to have her own. Her tattoo is on the left side of her ribs and it reads “just breathe”. Lindsay Lohan also has a tattoo on her wrist that reads “breathe”. I would hate to have anything that comes in comparison with someone like Lindsay Lohan!
Miley’s mom, Trish recently got angel wings on her back and her brother Trace, has his whole torso covered in tattoos. I personally am not against tattoos, having three myself. However I was at least of age and didn’t need a parental consent to get my first tattoo so I guess it’s all on your preference and what you allow your children do or get away with.
And…also if you notice in this picture of Miley, she needs to do a better job if she’s gonna put padding in her bathing suit top! I’m just saying!
Head coach, Charlie Weis was fired from Notre Dame after having a 37-27 record in his five years with the team. Charlie came to Notre Dame with a sense of entitlement and arrogance. Although he never played football at Notre Dame, he has always wanted to be the head coach, even as a student attending the college. They say football players used to come to him for advice to help them with their playing while he was a student.
He went from working with the Patriots as an NFL Coordinator to becoming the head coach for Notre Dame. In his third year there, he continued to lose games even though he was very arrogant about how he was going to win, win, win and he even told his players that they would never lose to Michigan State ever again. Needless to say, he didn’t meet his own guarantee. Before he came head coach, some people say he even went so far to get the job as to have gastric bypass. He thought he had a better chance at becoming head coach if he was thinner.
Charlie Weis will probably go back to being an assistant coach in the NFL but unfortunately he will always be remembered as the coach that failed Notre Dame. He was a very hard man to like because of his ego and big promises. The more he won, the more you wanted him to lose. But the more he lost, the more he became humbled and you actually wanted him to win. The one positive thing you can say about Weis is that he has never blamed his players or fans for why he has lost so many games or tried to justify what went wrong. Instead, he owned up to his mistakes and was forced to become humbled.
Around 2:25am on Friday morning, Woods was involved in a single car accident right outside his home in Orlando, Florida. According to police reports, Woods was pulling out of his driveway when he struck a fire hydrant and then a tree. He was driving a 2009 Cadillac SUV.
His wife heard the noise from the crash and came running outside. When she got to the SUV, Woods was in and out of consciousness. Woods’ wife used his golf clubs to break the window and pull him out of the SUV. When police got to the scene of the accident, his wife was performing first aid on Woods. Fire and Rescue later arrived and took Woods to Health Central Hospital where he was treated for minor lacerations on his upper and lower lip and then released.
There is still an investigation and charges are still pending to determine the cause of the accident. According to police, it does not appear to be an alcohol-related accident.
So the real questions are, why was Woods leaving his house around 2am anyways? He was obviously in a hurry to have done that much damage to his SUV and himself. And how in the world do you do that much damage just from backing out of your own driveway….without alcohol involved?! Hmm….sounds a little odd to me! It also seems ironic that his wife used his golf clubs to break his rear window to get him out of the SUV. If that were me, I’m thinking, maybe there was an argument or fight? Because if my husband stormed out of the house and in that much of a hurry to get out of the driveway to hit a fire hydrant and tree?! Oh I would soo use his precious golf clubs to bash in his window! Now that’s funny! Well…if that’s the case, it’s funny!
It’s not like this is some $10 winning ticket…you would think the winner of $1 million would step up and claim it quick!
The winning ticket was purchased on Aug. 26 at a Mobile gas station on Highway 41 in Racine County, Wis., but so far no one has stepped forward to cash in the winnings. The gas station has put up signs urging the winner to step forward and claim their money before the time limit to claim runs out.
The clerk at the gas station believes he knows who the winner is, but has no way to contact the individual. If I lived in Racine County, Wisconsin, I think I would be making some new friends if I knew they played the lottery!
