Black Friday 2009 deals

Written on November 2nd, 2009 by Johnno shouts

Be wary of sites posting the big name stores (Walmart, Best Buy) and their Black Friday deals too soon. While many have already been leaked, be cautious until you see everything in print.

What seems to be hot for Christmas already? Expect to see people waiting on Black Friday for big ticket electronics- TVs and laptops- and ‘family friendly’ gifts like Wii.

And don’t forget there are web specials on Black Friday, too. Fewer black eyes and traffic.

Layaway is back at Toys R Us

Written on October 20th, 2009 by Johnno shouts

Remember layaway? I think the last time I saw a store advertise layaway was when I was in elementary school. With the age of credit cards, layaway became extinct…and with the age of declining credit and credit being dramatically cut, we welcome back layaway.

Toys R Us has announced that will have have layaway in store (sorry online shoppers) for 20% down and a $10 service charge. And you’ll have until December 6 to pay it off and to get it before Christmas (it will take about a week to get your item after it’s paid off).

Even with a $10 charge, it’s still better than interest on your credit cards that can accrue from now until December…and definitely better than trying to search for toys in December.

Elmo Live going to be hot Christmas item

New!  Elmo Live is now available in stores.  He’s big, red, furry, and cute!  The most popular character from Sesame Street is now available in a version that seems so realistic and fun for all ages starting at eightheen months!  He requires 6 ‘AA’ batteries although batteries are included.  He comes with his own stool and stands twelve inches tall.  You can activate Elmo just by a touch, tickle, or squeeze of his foot, nose, back, or hand.  He interacts with your child by telling jokes, singing, asking questions, and practicing good manners!  Press his foot for him to tell you a story.  Squeeze his nose to hear lots of silly noises he can make.  He likes to blow kisses and he’ll even tell you he loves you!  When Elmo is on his back and sitting still for a while, he’ll yawn and say he’s tired.  Then he’ll go into battery-safe mode and shut down until you are ready to play again!  Elmo Live is a great buy for all occasions!  Kids will enjoy playing with Elmo Live for hours and hours!

Elmo Live is much better than the previous Elmo versions!  He actually interacts with your child by asking questions and he’ll even respond with answers.  Other previous Elmo toys in the past have also been very successful at entertaining kids of all ages!  Also available is the Tickle Me Elmo, Tickle Hands Elmo, Hokey Pokey Elmo, Stretch and Fun Elmo, and so much more!  Elmo has a huge variety of different Elmos that offer so many features!

Tickle Me Elmo has three fun tickle zones that you can tickle to see him grab his belly and fall down laughing!  Just tickle his chin, tummy, or toes and let the fun begin!

Tickle Hands Elmo are big, furry hands that kids can wear on their hands.  Once they touch someone to tickle, the hands start to vibrate and you hear Elmo’s signature giggle.  They also dance to the Tickle Hand Groove song!

Hokey Pokey Elmo is adorable singing and dancing to the very popular song for all pre-schoolers, the Hokey Pokey!  He completes the whole song and dance and then finishes with his famous shake and giggle from the Tickle Me Elmo!

Stretch and Fun Elmo makes fun and silly sounds when kids pull on his arms or legs for a good stretch!  With wacky phrases and silly sounds while you stretch Elmo out, he’s still just a cute and cuddly as before!

Elmo is the most popular character from Sesame Street which is why he has 100’s of options available featuring the adorable, red, plush Elmo in several different toys!  With so many different Elmo’s available, you are sure to find your favorite Elmo waiting for you to bring home and enjoy for hours and hours!
