20 year Iraqi woman Noor Faleh Almaleki dies after her father ran her over

What happened to parents loving you no matter what? Or just yelling at you when they’re mad? A 20-year-old woman from Iraq has died in an Arizona hospital, nearly two weeks after her father ran her over with a car because she had become “too Westernized.” Are you KIDDING me?

This is so far beyond my comprehension. I understand how her father would feel and that he felt like she lost the values she was raised with…but, uhm, is that really worth killing over? I know my parents may hate that I’m not quite the Catholic I was raised at, but to die for that? Damn.

Hot Mormon Muffins calendar

When I think of Mormon mothers, I certainly don’t imagine women ready to be pseudo-pin up models. But I almost would expect a muffin recipe…maybe with a religious tract thrown in for good measure.

12 women, who claim membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, are on a mission to prove Mormon moms are stuffy and boring. Posing in classic pin up poses and offering recipes, this calendar is probably about as steamy as Mormons get. But you gotta admit, it might turn your head and make you re-think some stereotypes.

The women posing say they have no problem with the pictures, though the church teaches modesty. No nudity here, but who knows what “temptation” they could cause!
